The Dutchess

The enameled finish is so smooth it wipes clean with barely any effort, even after I let the sauce burn on the bottom. The weight feels reassuring but not awkward when I’m lifting it from the oven to the table, and I’ve already used it three times this week for stews and braises.

Moved it from the stovetop straight to the dinner table last night and guests kept asking where I got it — the 6.75-quart size easily handled a whole chicken plus veggies. Cleanup was just a quick wipe since the enameled cast iron didn't let anything stick.

I half expected the 6.75-quart size to be unwieldy, but the weight is balanced so pouring and lifting feel natural. Even after a full week of soups and braises, the enamel inside cleans up with barely any scrubbing, and it looks just as good on the table as it does in the oven.
